Man-Buns Outlawed at Brigham Young University
It's a sad day for man-buns, and a sad day for the grooming freedom fighters of the world. Brigham Young University's Idaho campus has moved to ban man-buns on school grounds. According to the BYU Scroll the hair style is in direct violation of the school's dress and grooming code, it has also been described as "extreme" by student honor administrator Tyler Barton. He further explained that "it's just something that deviates from the norm."
Goodness gracious. We certainly can't be deviating from the norm, now. All the upstanding ladies of Idaho would clutch their pearls in horror at such things.
A further examination of the school's dress and grooming standard also revealed that beards, under any circumstances, are not allowed. Which is particularly odd since the school's website states that they follow such a code to be consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ. Who you know, definitely had a beard. And long hair.
All in all, BYU Idaho is as conservative as they come, but we can't help but weep for all the man-buns hitting the guillotine down there in Idaho. We're sending our prayers to our previously-bunned brethren.
