The 7 Must-See Men's Grooming Moves You Missed This Week

2025-02-05 16:43:44 Source:ixc Classification:Knowledge

The best men's grooming game—i.e. a good haircut, some tended-to scruff, and hydrated skin—can make a huge difference in how a man looks. If you ignore all three, well, you won't look like a DGAF rebel as much as a decade-older version of yourself. In order to motivate you to visit the barber regularly or just change up your routine once in a while, we're bringing you all the grooming moves you missed this week.

Jimmy Fallon's look on his late night show has erred on the side of baby-faced until this week, when he let loose and carefree with his facial hair situation. Perhaps with summer officially here, the talk show host felt it necessary to relax a little bit. It definitely adds some much-needed edge to the proceedings, and has him joining the ranks of the other Jimmy — Kimmel — who is currenlty late night's beardiest host (but no where near Letterman's post-job grizzly man look).

While Affleck certainly has sported a trim facial fuzz before, its rare to see him with wilder, unkempt facial hair like this. And, well, it suits him, in no small part because he benefits from that salt-n-pepper look that, sadly, you can't recreate artificially — it's one of the (few) benefits that come with age. We'd like to see more of this sort laid-back, urban woodsman energy from Ben, especially in the style department.

🚨Frank Ocean dyed his hair pink🚨 which leads us to believe that Millennial Pink will be the color of the season.

It's no big secret fashion has made a full-blown comeback, as have nineties actors. And while Keanu Reeves never really went away — he's always there, in spirit — his recent appearance with shaggy mop, parted won the middle, and too-long scruff, reminds us that there was a certain grooming regimen (or lack of one, to be more specific) that really helped encapsulate the grunge era as well. Now that your JNCO jeans are back in style, make sure to channel the facial hair stylings and coif of Nirvana and Pearl Jam to match.

Actor Colton Haynes has followed in the footsteps of Kanye West, Justin Bieber, and low-key menswear icon Kristen Stewart going blonde for summer. Instead of going for the full-on bleach-n-buzz, though, he opted for something a bit less severe and a bit more versatile by keeping a bit of length with his white hot hair. If you're looking for a big change for summer, but want to have a little freedom to play around with a few styles, here's the 'do for you.

Ryan Cooper's Subtle Side-Part

Sometimes it seems like a side-part has to be a whole slick, styled affair, but that's just not so. Take a look at actor Ryan Cooper's no-fuss spin on the classic do. While his hair is definitely divided and combed away from a side part, it's in a messy, undone sort of way. It gives the impression that he did his hair but didn't lay on the gel. It's the perfectly relaxed way to look good this summer.

Not sure what inspired Ethan Hawke's new grooming look, but we're on board. If you told us he was going to grow out his hair and a slight handlebar mustache, we'd be wary, but somehow the actor makes a convincing case for it. Perhaps it's the fact that he's left the hair slightly relaxed — no wet look here — and lets the 'stache slightly dip down, as opposed to a full blown handlebar. It's eye-catching but not ridiculous, which is a delicate balance to strike.
