The 7 Best Grooming Moves We Saw This Week
The best grooming game—i.e. a good haircut, some tended-to scruff, and hydrated skin—can make a huge difference in how a man looks. And if you ignore all three, well, you won't look like a DGAF rebel as much as an intensely hungover, decade-older version of yourself. In order to motivate you to visit the barber regularly or just change up your routine once in a while, we're bringing you a recap of the best grooming moves of the week.
Nick Jonas's Fade 'n' ShaveGabe Ginsberg
Consider this proof that not all buzzcuts are the same. Going to the barber and having him add a nice tapered fade to the sides — like Nick Jonas did here — can take your standard one-length-all-around cut to the next level.

When it comes to swerves of the highest order, there's no beating Jared Leto. And if Leto knows one things about surprising sartorial statements, it's that a wild grooming move can just add that much more emphasis. So this week, while wearing his regal topcoat (Gucci, of course), he paired it with a Julius Caesar hairstyle and busy wildman beard. It was unkempt and unruly and, somehow, it all worked.

In this world of bushy beards, macho mustaches, and a wide variety of different 'dos, it's kinda amazing to see someone just say no. No to any of it, and be clean shaven as the day you were born. It takes a lot of confidence, but The Rock nails it, and it sure doesn't hurt to have a pearly white smile to serve as the centerpiece instead.

Between short hair and long hair, there's always that nebulous in-between length that, for many guys, can be hard to style. The future Spider-Man nailed it with an easy, everyday sort of 'do: slicked back sides and a side-part wave up top. It looks "done" but not overly styled, like he put a little forethought into it but still looks like you could run your fingers through it.
Chris Pine's Bored BuzzcutGabe Ginsberg
Most of the time, when we see actors sporting some new, crazy grooming swerve, it's because of an upcoming role. But Chris Pine, who once had one of the most desirable head's of hair in Hollywood, buzzed his own noggin because, get this, he was bored. Turns out a Homeland bingewatching session while home sick with the flu turned into an impromptu DIY barber session. Good thing it looks badass — and that it's just hair.

Got hair that's as luxurious as your girl's? Don't be shy and pull it back in a man-bun or hide it under a hat (be it a trilby, fedora or baseball cap). Do like Kesha's boyfriend Brad Ashenfelter and go all matchy-matchy with your lady. It took you a long time to grow it out, so show it off.
