This is Grooming Gods, a tour of the best and wildest celebrity hair and beauty out there this week.

Acne happens. Instead of canceling plans the moment you spot a breakout, slap on a cheeky pimple patch à la Bieber and own it. Earlier this week, the Canadian songster took to the streets of LA wearing not one, but two star-shaped patches, courtesy of Starface, the Gen-Z skin care fave. The IG-friendly design might be new, but the science behind them is old: Starface uses hydrocolloids to absorb excess oil, reducing inflammation and zapping your pimples faster than you can say “wait, is that dude famous?” (Grab the salicylic acid version for a little extra zit-busting oomph.) Unlike other anodyne, neutral-toned alternatives, Starface’s patches lean into the zany, distracting from the fact that, you know, you’re essentially wearing a sticker on your face.

Kravitz’s fantastic dreads are consistently a sight to behold. If you’ve already locked your hair, or are strongly considering it, maintaining moisture should be priority number one. Day-to-day, dreads can be pretty low-maintenance—but if you haven’t settled on a regular routine to moisturize your scalp and roots, you run the risk of dryness and inflammation. Moroccanoil’s OG hair treatment is packed with argan oil, which is great for sealing in moisture while keeping your hair soft and shiny; apply daily (or every few days, depending on your needs) and you’re good to go. While you’re at it, make sure to grab yourself a sturdy gel for retwists. If you’ve got a good amount of regrowth, non-freeform locs should be retwisted every 4-6 weeks to prevent undue breakage.

In the process of growing out a summer buzz, or just looking to revitalize a perpetually shorter ‘do? You could do a lot worse than taking your cues from Evan Mock, who swapped his signature pink dye job for a shade of emo kid black a few months ago. (And is rocking the hell out of a fuzzy Everlane sweater here.) Mock’s hair is short, shaggy, and just textured enough, likely thanks to a healthy dollop of choice styler. Best Paste’s aptly-named pomade took home a Grooming Award this year thanks to its matte finish and flexible hold—less comb-wielding greaser, more deck-toting creative type. But if a pomade sounds too intense for your mercifully short cut, a wax might be your next best bet. Patricks’ will cost you, but it offers a similarly natural-looking finish (and medium hold), minus any of that telltale crunch.

Jason Momoa

Jason Momoa remains a mainstay of our grooming coverage for a reason: the guy has one of the best heads of hair in Hollywood, and he knows exactly what to do with it. But his goatee game deserves some recognition, too. If you’re blessed with whiskers as full as his, don’t skimp on the hydration. Claus Porto’s beard oil—another Grooming Award winner!—is plenty moisturizing, but the real X factor is its scent, a heady mix of bergamot, nutmeg, and vetiver that smells like a go-to fall cologne. Feeling lazy, or just strapped for cash? F. Miller’s nutrient-dense double-whammy will keep the hair on your head looking as silky as the hair on your face. (And if you’re still struggling to tame those locks up top, make like Momoa and just wrap 'em all in a scrunchie.)
