Sylvester Stallone Just Schooled Everyone on Wearing a Sweatsuit in Public

Respect your elders. Just look at 69-year-old Sylvester Stallone and his off-duty fit. As you know, the sweatsuit is making inroads with the style set, worn by #millennial tastemakers such as Drake and Selena Gomez and remade by savvy designers such as John Elliott and Thom Browne.
Of course, the tracksuit/sweatsuit can go horribly, horribly awry. And when it comes to a gentleman of a certain age sporting one, it could easily fall into the trying-too-hard category. Or wind up looking like the uniform favored by retirement-village dwellers.
However, Stallone nailed it, and he did so by making two key moves. First, as you can probably guess, is nailing the fit. Stallone has a better physique than most guys half his age, and it shows because his Nike Tech Pack sweatsuit fits like a goddamn glove. The pants are hella tapered, and the shirt and jacket are super-slim, which means that there's nothing sloppy about this at all. It looks just as sharp as a suit...almost. Also, the gray-on-gray is key. While going head-to-toe on one color—and especially with a pattern—can sometimes be overkill, here it's the perfect choice that's neither flashy nor boring, and is age-appropriate.
So if looking this good going to the gym is a way to respect your elders, consider us sold.
