In a surprise to no one, Justin Timberlake turned up looking great at the ESPYS. The singer slid into a tailored Tom Ford brown suit for the athlete awards show, but it wasn't just his fitted kit that caught our attention—it was his leading man hair. Timberlake's no stranger to flexing some professionally coiffed follicles on and off the red carpet, but lately the entertainer has been hiding his wavy mane under an endless parade of hats So it wasn't just a welcome addition to last night's awards show, it was an inspiring reminder that even in mid-summer heat, a little effort into your 'do can go a long way.

Getting Timberlake's hair into top form was the task of his stylist Christine Nelli, who, armed Matrix's new StyleLink Mineral line, sprayed, combed, massaged, blow-dried, and set the artist's mop into perfect place. Nelli broke down the six easy steps it took to get there, which, we can assure you, any guy at home can pull off.

Step 1: Give Texture to Get Texture##

"I started by spraying Justin’s wet hair with Matrix StyleLink Mineral Rough Me Up Sea Salt Spray to prep his hair with just enough texture to properly style it."

Step 2: Get In There##

"Then, I used a comb to part his hair to the side and create a slick side part before blow drying it."

Step 3: Fire It Up##

"Next, I used a flat brush to blow dry the hair over, making sure that the look stayed sleek."

Step 4: More Texture!##

"After the hair was completely dry, I ran through his hair with my hands to shape it."
