These days, the worlds of high fashion and professional basketball are intertwined like never before, and no player embodies the happy collaboration better than Oklahoma City’s dapper human torpedo, Russell Westbrook. To appreciate the dude’s commitment to style, look no further than his multi-year collaboration with Barneys. The Westbrook XO Barneys imprint has featured elephant-print Jordan gear, Globe Trotter luggage, and now, a new cologne. The fragrance, created with former ballplayer and current perfumer Ben Gorham (left, with Westbrook during Paris Fashion Week) for Byredo, is "fresh, yet differentjust like my style," Westbrook tells us. Layered with Bergamot, tobacco, and vetiver, the scent is a bit more advanced than the Brut he wore to prom. "I thought I was the man when I put it on, " Russ explains. We’re thinking his new cologne will have a similar effect.
