Shia LaBeouf Has an Important New Haircut
Shia LaBeouf is not known for his mainstream haircuts. Up until recently the actor was sporting a curly mullet accented by a braided rattail. Not a lot of guys can pull that off. A few weeks ago the actor’s rattail disappeared (R.I.P.), and this weekend, at the tuxedo throw-down that is the Venice Film Festival, he debuted a whole new, surprisingly wearable look. Observe:

LaBeouf presumably shaved his head and beard for his current film, American Honey, but we have to say—it looks good like this. The undercut—long on top, short on the sides—might be the haircut of the decade (The New York Times is a big fan), but we’re putting our money on the buzz cut making its mark again, too. Whether you’ve spent the last ten years looking like an old-timey bartender and just need a change or, like LaBeouf, you are required to clean up your crazy-long hair for professional reasons, shaving it all off is a good option. Just make sure your dome is decently shaped like his, and when you start to freak out about looking like Mr. Clean, find an occasion to put on a tux. It’s a sharp combo, and you’ll be glad you don’t have to fix your high-maintenance (disguised as low-maintenance) haircut every 20 minutes.
