Patrick Schwarzenegger (son of Ahhhhrnold) experimented with some unfortunate vacation braids while relaxing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico this week. The 23-year-old showed off his new 'do where one goes to show off just-finished follicle swerves: Twitter (Schwarzenegger's was captioned with a simple surprised blushing emoji). In a bizarre coincidence it was exactly a year ago today that Justin Bieber took to Instagram to show off his own set of tightly braided vacation cornrows. We weren't on board with them then and we aren't on board with them now.

If you don't normally wear your hair in braids, we don't suggest you try them out while on vacation. Neither of these two famously handsome men succeeded in pulling off the look. To be clear, we're not saying white guys can never wear braids, but we would say this look has a 99.99999999999999999% chance of failing. So our advice is, frankly, just don't do it.

Or, do it like Schwarzenegger (and Bieber as well) and take them out immediately after showing them off (and show off the puffed-up results again on Twitter.)
