Why: Because after mourning the loss of Harry Styles's long hair, we're taking a moment to honor one of his most impressive predecessors. Brad Pitt's flowing mane is long gone, but our memories of it have hardly taken off. Being fan's of Pitt's follicles is nothing new for us (think Fury, A River Runs Through It, 90% of the times he's left the house), but seeing that hair with this outfit puts the entire look in the actor's style hall of fame.
Pitt was just 30-years-old (maybe that Benjamin Button thing wasn't an act) when this photo captured his surf-hippie shoulder-length hair and epic paisley shirt. The actor, attending perhaps the most lit movie premiere of that year (in attendance: a young Leonardo DiCaprio, Rick Rubin, Anthony Kedis, Quentin Tarantino, Alicia Silverstone, Christian Slater, Antonio Sabato Jr., and Rosanna, Patricia, and David Arquette), was rocking the shit out of his commune-level kit. (Maharishi shirt—cuffs rolled up, cinnamon brown jeans, and some groovy chin hair.) Let it be known: this is what effortless cool looks like.
