The Haircut That Keeps Your Tailoring Out of Old-Man Territory
Scan last night’s Met Gala red carpet, and one thing is crystal clear: These are the best-dressed men in the game—any game. Something almost all of them have in common is the ability to take pretty out-there chances with their clothes (see: Zayn Malik’s Game of Thrones sleeves) while still looking dapper as hell. One trick many use to walk that delicate line? A shaved head. Because when your haircut says to the world “no comment,” your style has room to do all kinds of talking.

Kanye West, Idris Elba, and Nick Jonas are no strangers to a buzz cut, and guys like Malik and Robert Pattinson have recently embraced the look as well. Consider the fact that Justin Bieber, a guy whose hair is almost as famous as his music, recently joined the shaved-head club, and it feels like the grooming move might be reaching critical mass.

Whether you’ve got a few weddings this summer and want to look just as good as these guys in your formalwear, or you simply need a break from a haircut you’ve been clinging to for the last decade, the buzz cut is a damn good choice. But then again, we’re all for anything that leaves the door open to a style swerve or two.
