The Bachelorette Finalist’s Fades, Ranked
When The Bachelorette premiered back in May, the 26 contestants vying for JoJo Fletcher’s heart had a range of haircuts, from very short to man-bun length. Today, only four men remain—and they're all sporting the same long-on-top fade haircut (and, in Bachelor-franchise tradition, they’re all white). The ’do is clearly Fletcher’s type and, as we’ve said before, the grooming move that looks good on just about every guy. After all, a buzzed head is not nearly as forgiving, and you’ve got to be Brad Pitt–level handsome to pull off long hair. The long-on-top fade, on the other hand, draws the eye away from your mug and up toward the sky, while presenting no wild cards below the temples that could potentially get you into trouble. No matter what you’re working with, you will probably look great with this cut.
So who among the finalists is rocking the best fade? Here’s our take:
4. RobbyRobby loses points for barely fading what so clearly wants to be a fade. On top, there’s never a hair out of place, which, in this case, is a bad thing. His hair looks processed or heat-styled (and possibly dyed?), which makes him look a bit like a mannequin.
3. LukeLuke was an officer in the U.S. Army, and there’s still a little bit of military flavor left in his cut. It’s a little on the boxy side. That said, it isn’t painstakingly styled and has lots of movement and texture in it, so it doesn’t look pretentious. Fitting.
2. JordanWhen it comes to hair, a man’s strengths can also be his greatest weaknesses. While Jordan clearly has great natural texture, the sheer bigness of his fade, and the frequency at which he runs his hands through his hair, has a way of distracting you from pretty much everything he’s saying.
1. ChaseWith just enough length on top, a little bit of movement, and freshly shorn sides that give it that edgy look, Chase’s fade is the most enviable in the bunch. Case in point: Even when he’s crying with his mom over a glass of Chardonnay, he looks pretty cool.
