George Clooney's Goatee Is in the Danger Zone
Facial hair is an art when you think about it. You spend weeks growing out the perfect stubble, and then you suddenly become Michelangelo with a razor, carving out one hell of a grooming Sistine Chapel. But, of course, sometimes your chapel becomes "Dogs Playing Poker." (Don't worry, even the finest artists mess up.) One such case would be George Clooney's latest foray into face follicles. His goatee, which is now in full force, is just a little much for us (and him). It's too neat. Look at the hyper-definition along his jaw, the laser-sharp precision is almost creepy. Goatees are a hard thing to master, we'll grant him that. To do it well–like old school Colin Farrell—you have to be willing to let things get a little hairy. In this situation, the unkemptness of some scruff actually helps. Otherwise, you just look like a little too "done." Keep that in mind the next time you decide you're gonna go for this vibe.
