The 7 Must-See Grooming Moves You Missed This Week
The best men's grooming game—i.e. a good haircut, some tended-to scruff, and hydrated skin—can make a huge difference in how a man looks. And if you ignore all three, well, you won't look like a DGAF rebel as much as an intensely hungover, decade-older version of yourself. In order to motivate you to visit the barber regularly or just change up your routine once in a while, we're bringing you a recap of the best grooming moves of the week.
1. Chris Pine's Two-Tone BeardNBC
Sometimes a guy's beard grows in red, and sometimes, it starts to gray. Pine's scruff is doing the latter, and we applaud the young actor for keeping it that way. Showing off some salt-and-pepper patches not only makes a guy look just a bit more distinguished (call it the old wizard effect) but it shows that he doesn't take his grooming too seriously (even if he totally takes his grooming game too seriously).

Once in a while we get a reminder that those with years of experience are often our most vital grooming resources. Case in point is Al Pacino who had tamed his wild, unruly locks with a ... wait for it ... headband. Uh, that't totally unexpected and yet totally badass. Let this be a lesson to all those guys rocking the Bro Flow, this summer as the weather gets hot and you don't know what do do with your mane, take it from this 77-year-old rebel.
3. Charlie Hunnam's Questionable BronzerTORONTO, ON - MAY 02: Actor Charlie Hunnam attends the pre-screening reception of "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" presented by Audi, at Shangri-La Hotel on May 2, 2017 in Toronto, Canada. (Photo by GP Images/WireImage)GP Images
Maybe this is what happens when you lean too heavily into winter's turtleneck trend, or maybe Charlie Hunnam requested the full Miami look, but there's some serious discrepancy between the coloring on the actor's face and neck. And this isn't even the first time this bronzer madness has been noted. Looking tan is always nice, but looking like you put on pancake makeup is not — make sure you know the difference.

We may have missed him on the red carpet at the Met Gala earlier this week, but Maxwell was killing it, as always. And while his outfit was a masterful thing, his very distinct side-part and slightly longer, mussed-up styling on top, really sealed the deal. [Chef's kiss].

Speaking of the Met Gala, while the main attraction was definitely the stylish clothing, we'd be remiss not to mention how damn good the grooming was. You can see the highlights right here.

Sometimes, in this crazy world of ours, it's the simplest things that can make a really big impact. Take Aziz Ansari's totally low-key, understated look this week. The outfit was an all-black, casual take on tailoring, swapping in a knit polo shirt for your traditional button-up, and it was superb as it was subtle. Same for the hair, which was a pretty straightforward short-on-the-sides-longer-on-top sort of do you'll find pretty much all over, but it hit that excellent balance between militantly trimmed and too-shaggy. It was looked polished but not fussy, much like the actor himself.

Proof that even a good grooming moment can overcome even the most dreadful of outfits, Adam Sandler decided to top off a sad, lumpy graphic t-shirt (the adolescent kind, not the cool kind) and oversized gym shorts, but his sharp cut and expert styling almost saves the whole thing. Almost.
