Gregg Popovich Terrified a Reporter Who Asked About His Beard
Last year, San Antonio Spurs coach and noted grumpy man Gregg Popovich unveiled a new beard. Spurs fans loved it, so he brought it back again this year. But when a NBA TV reporter asked Pop about his continued facial hair, the coach wasn't having it, replying, "Are there some questions you're gonna ask me, or what are we gonna do? The beard... C'mon, let's get to the basketball... Jesus." Ouch.
The reporter then went to ask questions about basketball and the offseason, but Greg wasn't having those either. When prompted by a comment he made about camaraderie earlier this year, he answered, "I have no idea what you're talking about." He then asked how much he knew about new Spur LeMarcus Aldridge, to which he said, "Nothing." As the brutal interview continued, the reporter got more and more nervous and his voice got more and more unstable as pure terror set in. And with someone as intimidating as Gregg Popovich, we don't blame him.
As it turns out, Pop was just messing with the guy. He thought it would be a good warm-up for dealing with actually annoying reporters, and it appears after this segment he was happy to answer questions about both his beard and the upcoming season. But as far as trolling goes, it doesn't get much better than this.
