Jared Leto's hair is practically as famous as the man whose scalp it sits on. Whether it's in long, gorgeous hombre form or platinum blond, the man has a way to making noise with his 'dos. At this weekend't MTV Movie Awards, Leto was spotted with a hair style so reminiscent of '90s hair that when combined with his ageless wizardry, makes us think he might have somehow gone back in time and retrieved his former self.

Of course, back in the '90s this haircut was the cut favored by heartthrobs everywhere. No, seriously. River Phoenix had it. So did Zack Morris when he went off to college. Eric on Boy Meets World definitely had it. And you can't leave out JTT (that would be Jonathan Taylor Thomas), and while we're at it, and Joey Lawrence had one of the better versions. Basically if they were on the cover of J-14, you can guarantee they were sporting some half-part wavy mane goodness.

As for its place in 2016, well, if you're not Jared Leto—who to be fair is clearly navigating the choppy waters of an awkward growing out phase—then we have some advice. The only real problem here is that Jared's part is in the middle of his head, which immediately will set anyone down the road of grunge music, beepers, and stonewashed jeans. So, if you find yourself, like Jared, caught in between desirable hair lengths, do your best to offset the part in your hair, and don't be afraid to style them in slightly messier fashion. If you need some inspiration, look no further than Jared's brother in hair god-ing Harry Styles.
