See Why This Chinese Man Invented a Crazy Hair Washing Machine
In China, a 38-year-old man named Chen Gongke has done built a robot that will wash your hair for you. Confused? We were too, at first. Because washing your hair, isn't like, a struggle. You put on some tunes (what? you dont?), you hop in the shower, you wet your hair, you lather up the shampoo, and you get all up in there. When finished, you emerge with a fresh, clean, and presumably better mop. It's hardly rocket science, and certainly not something we ever thought a robot could do better than us. But, of course, we weren't seeing the big picture.
Gongke's grandmother is paralyzed, which makes life exponentially difficult on all counts. Simple acts, like washing your hair, suddenly become insurmountable obstacles. That's what actually inspired him to making this seemingly useless machine. He's been tinkering with the idea for a decade, trashing 18 motorcycle helmets in the process, according to China Daily. As you can see by the photo above (that's the inventor's dad in the picture), it's a pretty impressive machine. Though, it's a lot simpler than it looks. You load up the water tank, you load up the shampoo, and then you presumably press a button and start the whole process. It's the most heartwarming grooming story we've ever heard.
