6 Excellent A-List Beards Worth Copying
Welcome to another edition of Grooming Gods, a weekly recap of the best men's grooming highs (and sometimes lows) courtesy of our favorite stylish gentlemen across the globe. This week there was an abundance of admirable beards, scruff, and stubble. Guess it's that time of year.
Best Kinda Red Scruff: Joe Jonas
Joe Jonas parted ways with his mustache recently, making room for more of a full-on beard. Like many men, his facial hair is red even though his hair isn't. It lends Jonas's serious haircut a laid-back, mountain man vibe. 'Tis the season.
Best All-Over Stubble: Frank Ocean
Frank Ocean's style deserves to be celebrated, but it should be mentioned that his grooming game is on point too. His faded buzz-cut and slightly longer beard are well balanced, and all the edges are nice and clean.
Best Salt-and-Pepper: Taika Waititi
Taika Waititi might be the man behind the camera, but he can hold his own in front of one too. Not only does he take respectable chances with his clothes, but his salt-and-pepper wavy hair and beard also makes a stylish statement. He's proof that gray looks good at any age.
Best Beard-to-Chest-Hair Ratio: Tom Ford
Tom Ford's Caesar style haircut, patch-free stubble, and visible chest hair is as signature to his style as black suits and handheld luggage. But the grooming look worked especially well with the "Indiana Jones goes to Studio 54" 'fit he wore out to dinner in Los Angeles earlier this week. Nothing shows the world you're up for a good time like tinted aviator glasses and chest hair.
Best Day-Off Dad Scruff: Matt Bomer
Actor and dad-of-three, Matt Bomer, ran errands this week in a sweats and unbrushed hair. Adding to the chill vibe was his newly sprouted beard, which has some distinguished salt-and-pepper coloring. If your grooming situation looks this good when you've just rolled out of bed, you're doing something right.
Best Living Legend Beard: Rick Rubin
Rick Rubin might not be a guy whose look you want to emulate, but that doesn't mean he isn't a grooming god. The legendary music producer made long hair and a long beard his signature many years ago, and it still looks baller today, whether he's wearing his signature surfer street clothes or dressed up in a suit and tie.
