Welcome to TBT, a look back at the epic style moves from decades past. Up today: Former United States President, avid runner, and famous lover of junk food, Bill Clinton during a post jogging stretch in a fully GQ approved workout fit.

Who: Bill Clinton

When: 1993

Where: The White House, Washington D.C.

Why: It's not often the American public gets a glimpse of our commander-in-chief out of his requisite navy blue suit. And when we do, it's not often a fit we're into (cue: dad jeans). See Bill Clinton's off duty style, a wardrob full of baggy khakis and polo shirts for on the golf course and aggressively short shorts and old logo tees for running.

However, one day in 1993 Clinton proved that the off-the-clock wardrobe of our elected leader can be better than basic—it can be (dare we say) badass. For proof, check out the cold weather fitness rig #42 was caught stretching in: striped Adidas running tights under a pair of blue shorts (thankfully of a respectable length), a pair of red, white, and blue striped socks, and some New Balance sneakers. Up top he wore a navy crew neck sweatshirt, topped off with a red ball cap. Not only did the first gentleman-to-be (if all goes well and we don't have to move to Canada) pull off an ideal layered kit for cooler weather workouts, but he managed to work in our nation's colors to boot.

As fall gets officially underway you'll need to switch out your shorts-and-T-shirt ensemble for something more substantial—and using these photos as your guide isn't a bad place to start.
